In this new Bamboo lesson, Ning shares his inspired techniques for rendering Bamboo, the floral representative of summer and the ultimate gentleman, in dynamic form and color. Each session begins with Ning painting an entire bamboo composition, moving at his regular pace and thereby demonstrating the dancing rhythm so integral to the spontaneous style.

In part one he carefully goes over equipment, colors, form, and then separate lessons on the leaves, the twigs/branches and two methods for creating the body/trunk.

In part two Ning dives right into composing bamboo, discussing each component in detail. He shows how to put the pieces together in correct relation to each other - starting with the trunk, then moving onto the rings that connect the joints, then the twigs/branches, and finally the foliage.
