Big Al was a gentleman who studied with me for many years. He came with a new name each year in order to keep his presence fresh - like the vegetables he offered. Over the years, he was Big Al, Al Grand, Al Bigg, Al Just...I no longer recall his real name.
Big Al loved this flower. He had a huge tree in his yard filled with blossoms. I studied a number of photos he gave me of this flower when I worked on this lesson. I think of Al and the many special folks I've had the privilege to share time with. The love of art has brought us together forever.
